Well, the almighty Sony marketing arm has probably kept the DSLR market buzzing again by “leaking” out pictures of the new A230, A330 and A380. However, without the specifications which is expected to be announced and officially launched around the 18th of this month.
The pictures look real as the new entry level DSLRs seem to be equipped with the new SAL1855 kit lens and taken together with the A700 and A900 in the “classic” Sony Alpha family photo (as below).
The main external cosmetic change is the unconventional (new-age?) sharp grip. (I have always wondered whether any manufacturer has ever thought of producing left hander DSLRs before … but that’s another story).
Other than that, there’s strong believe that the new 300 series will be equipped with video capabilities whilst the A230 will be a pure still image camera.
Well, it will probably be launched in about 10 days time, will see.
